As long as you use the default 'Start where last copy left off' setting, you can crash or cancel file copies to your heart's content. The next time you click the 'run' button or the generate script, it will pick up where it left off.

One thing that annoys me, when copying in windows, is the lack of:
* Pause
* Continue
* Retry

eg.

If your hd is full, it simply fails! (the original windows copy), why is there no retry? (you could delete from the hd, move files and then retry).

If your copying is degrading other important things, like viewing a dvd from your pc, you might want to pause it or simply adjust the speed/process priority.

I dont know if your appplication has theese functions, but if it has them, I will start using your program!

Maybe some setting like "do not let the program exceed x% of cpu-power" setting would be cool, when you dont have any more bugs to fix? then the application could adjust to the current system, based on realtime performance.

User Forum: RE: Great Interface for Batch Transfer Scripts.

Thanks! ZoomCopy has a long and "distinguished" history.

First, it was a revolutionary piece of code on the Commodore 64 that reduced disk copy times from ~ 35 minutes down to 5 minutes.

It also handled errors and copy protections very well - no commenting, just copying.

It also came out of Germany and the English translation led everyone to think it was freeware.
